Hi I'm Mary Smith, I am a New Zealand registered Marriage & Civil Union Celebrant.

 

I am happily married to Rodney, for 25 years and we have 3 adult children and 3 fur babies.

I’m dedicated to making the celebration of your special day the unique to your requirements. Based in Christchurch, but I am happy to travel anywhere in the beautiful Aotearoa!​

What's involved in creating your dream day?

 

• ​Initial meeting - at your place or out somewhere, that works for you.  This is a time for you to ask questions, for me to get some info and make sure we are a good fit!

• If we're a good fit, you will need to contact me to confirm a booking for your date and we will arrange for a deposit to be paid.

• I will send a list of questions and arrange another meeting to get to know you better to be able to personalise your ceremony.

• We have another meeting closer to your wedding to discuss the finer details, like who are your witnesses and what music have you got lined up, and so on. 

• I can help with your vows - whether you want to write your own or just get some inspiration. 

• I'll remind you to apply for your marriage licence, and send to me! The cost for this is currently $150, and isn't included in my fee.

• We will have a ceremony rehearsal, either at your venue or elsewhere.  We'll run through how the ceremony flows, where everyone stands, what 'signing the register' entails, and if there are any other special details or announcements you want included.

• On the day, I'll be there nice and early, to help direct guests, calm nerves, check you're both ok. 
  I'll have your vows printed for you both which serves as a keepsake of your day, your marriage licence printed and a pen to sign!
